"Children learn what they live," reads the poem by Dorothy Law Nolte, and it is with that in mind that World Education Connection works to celebrate the unique gifts of all children. By valuing their own qualities, children learn to value those unique qualities of global teammates.
"If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient...If a child lives with acceptance, he learns to love."
Mission
World Education Connection promotes positive social and emotional development, empowering students with a greater sense of self, community and global connection.
Vision
For all Students
To be SEEN - Guided by an adult, and using a variety of audio
and visual technology tools, WEC connects students in grades
5-12, locally and globally.
To be HEARD - The students who are connected speak about
real life issues related to themselves, their community and the
world.
To be VALUED - Students feel a greater sense of belonging,
accepted by their classmates, connected to their own
community, and learn to respect the culture of their
global teammate as well as their own.
OUR 3 STEP CONNECTION PROGRAM
CELEBRATE
On May 9th, 2018, we will host the second annual World Education Day Of Connection. This day will bring together all the global teams in celebration of the connections made, share the collaborations on projects that contributed to the greater understanding of all, and hear from exciting guest speakers.
